  • Our Process

  • Typically, the first meeting takes place in your home to meet with you and your family and discuss your needs and wants, measure the space that is to be renovated, take some photos of the space (with your permission of course), and the design process begins.  There are websites to assist in the design process, such as Houzz, Pinterest, Better Homes and Gardens, etc. as to gauge your style, items you want to incorporate, and so forth.

Second meeting is the presentation of designs and get your feedback about what you like or dislike.  The design will be revised if needed, and move forward from there.

Third meeting occurs in the showroom where the "working" kitchen is for you to see, touch, and move its parts.  There are three cabinet companies for you to select from based on your budget and customization availability, and you will decide between door styles, wood specie, colors, etc.

Fourth meeting is the presentation of quote for your design and cabinet selection.  During this meeting, a design retainer fee can be collected to give you the rights to any and all of the designs made for your space.  The design retainer does get credited to the invoice amount for your cabinetry and any other items you want us to get for you.  This is a non-refundable fee and is varied based on the job size.

CONTRACTORS WELCOME!  If you have a contractor and wish that UPtown Kitchens provides only the cabinetry, we will gladly help out!  Only request is to have a meeting with all parties, contractor, designer, and homeowners to go over the final layout and items needed.  No Job is Too Small!
